Hikmah Sedekah

Celik Momz: Prof Muhaya

Alhamdulillah…

My business timeline: Dugaan

Jimat kos nak renovate!!

Basic Islamic Q&A You should teach to your child

Haris and Islamic Education

I started showing him the flash card since he was 6 months old.  By 8 months old, i play the Arabic cartoon and huruf hijaiya song repeatedly. Since he was 9 months old, i start to bring him to mosque.

Haris mula mengikut gerak geri solat pada usia 11 bulan bila dia mula berjalan. Kami bawa haris ke masjid setiap kali solat maghrib dan mendengar kuliah just to make him love and familiar dengan suasana masjid.

But in his own funny style ler..

Kami juga sering menerapkan A is for Allah… dan sekarang jika ditanya kepada beliau ” Haris.. A for?..

Montesori Islami seperti Genius Aulad, Little Caliph juga semakin mendapat perhatian. Ibu moden sangat beruntung kerana terdapat banyak cara untuk mendapatkan panduan mendidik anak. Internet, the 8th wonder of the world, perlu dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik mungkin dalam mengutip ilmu-ilmu yang berguna untuk mendidik anak.

1. Pendidikan anak-anak dalam Islam oleh: Dr Abdullah Nasih Ulwan

2.  Children Islamic Education :Mufti Jalal-Ud-Din Ahmad Amjadi

My goal is to make sure Haris punya tahap penguasaan Bahasa Arab is as good as his English. Insya Allah, he can at least read and memorize Juz Amma before dia masuk tadika.  That is my KPI for this 4 years.

Haris’s English Journey : Week 1

Since beli pakej English Noddy di pesta buku kelmarin, kami terus memulakan  pengadaptasikan English environment kepada Haris. It’s only the day 2, but we can see the progress. We played the first CD repeatedly and he can now speak and sing along the song. How amazing the baby’s brain is. They are an amazing learner. The repetitive technique is truly works!

As for today, he can imitate few steps in the video and blurt out the word “car..car..car”. At first, when he saw the spotty dance the act of car, he didn’t respond. However, after I acted exactly like the character, he started to stand and imitate me. It’s really fun. I knew then, the parent must get involve to make this program work. No points putting your child in front of the TV but you are not there to guide him.

Last week, I taught him the word shoe by showing him his shoes. He seems to ignore me and I’m quite disappointed at that time. But, I continue to tell him the word every time I put it on him. Then, last Sunday, when we were about to go out, I said to him, ” Haris, where is your shoe?” without expecting any reaction from him. But to my surprise, he walked to his shoe, picked it up and gave it to me!!!.. I and my husband were hesitating as we can’t believe he can actually understand! What a wonderful moment…Since then, I knew that there’s a lot of potential in him that we can dig out and we just need to help him.

He understands few words such as ball, drink, eat, lion, car, kiss, hug, sit, up and maybe pray. Quite a lot for 1 year old baby. The best part is when we said “Lion”, he’ll immediately “Roars”…hahaha. My method is simple, I use a lot of expressions when talking and playing with him. Since his first toy is book, I can see that he’s always attracted to book and always ask me to read to him. That’s why I always bought new book for him as I’m happy to see his enthusiasm when he has new book.

I love to spent time with him and help him become smarter each day. I can proudly say that quitting my job is the best decision I’ve ever made!

Movie Review: Goon (2012)

Baru lepas menonton movie Goon. Well, i guess, movie yang menarik. I’ve learnt something about ice hockey game. It’s rough and the rule is ridiculuos but i’m happy as i knew new knowledge today. I’m always happy to watch movie that is based on true story. Even though it might be exaggerated by the scriptwriter as to make the film more marketable and interesting, still you’ll learn a lot from other’s experience. I believe that everything happen in this world is a lesson for those who wanna learn.
The last song played in the movie is really nice and inspiring. Try to read the lyric and you’ll see what i mean. It’s so optimist. .. May those who think they have nothing, be inspired by this song. Chills!!

Socalled – Work With What You Got

[Song from Goon (2011) movie end credit song list soundtrack] (youtube)

Start the music!

As I walk around feeling really good
About everything from my health to my hood
realize that I’m blessed with a lot
So all I gotta say is work with what you got

They say my voice really wasn’t made for rapping
Straight out the deep homme it would never happen
As a teenager had my first child
and in all the photos you never seen a smile

But now I’m the best that ever did it
The greatest female rapper and they all must admit it
So all the haters I say thanks a lot
Life can turn out really good if you work with what you got

I know it’s hard but it takes some work to be (working with what you got)
If you got nothing or even if you got it all (working with what you got)
(x2)

If you have an idea just think it
If you have one eye just blink it
If you have a drop of rum just drink it
Working with what you got

If you got one leg just shake it
If you don’t want to smile than fake it
If you got one potato bake it

You got to walk it out until you can’t walk it no more (working with what you got)
You got to walk it, walk it until you know you score (working with what you got)
You got to walk it ’til you can’t walk it no more (working with what you got)
If you got nothing or even if you got it all (working with what you got)

Let me hear you sing along

I know it’s hard but it takes some work to be (working with what you got)
If you got nothing or even if you got it all (working with what you got)
(x2)

Any time you see (?) shows you a cove
I know deep in your heart you don’t deserve
You maybe ticking a licking and keep on ticking
That’s the way it’s gonna keep do nothing

Cause life can turn out good if you work with what you got

Let me hear you sing along

If you got nothing or even if you got it all
Work with what you got!
